This most recent piece by Robert Meredith captures his trompe l'oeil style with its use of a shop window, smudged glass, and a beautiful, peeling-paint frame. The use of geraniums as a focus of this work, though, is a departure for Meredith, creating a tension between the young, fecund plants and the aged, doughty surroundings.
